duplicity...

"A flow of words is a sure sign of duplicity".
[Honore de Balzac (1799-1850)]

Okay first of all, I need to find out in what context this phrase is written.

For I wonder whether it means the same as

'regurgitating' what one is taught

or

'copying (plagerism?) is the highest form of flattering?

haa ha ahha - I conclude with a smile...

totally greek to me...

Cor it is a month since I last wrote! and what a break it was!
I have been to watch Wolverine, Star Trek, Monsters v aliens plus endless HBO's movies! Got lazy too writing this .... once one got out of the habit. Then again I have a thought - if one has many other things to do, one doesn't really need to maintain a blog/diary!

Anyway below is an excerpt of my updates to my friends on my latest madcap's!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Please don’t call on Tuesday nights’ when you are in town. At least not till after the 15th of August – I have classes till 10.30pm!

Yours truly has gone mad and is taking Biblical Greek. Last night was my fourth class. Every week we have quiz – another word for tests! It is 20% of our total marks! I have no choice as it is a compulsory subject if and should I want to take up Masters in Divinity one day.

1. First I think I am getting old – I can actually go blank when the test paper is placed in front of me, though I have had spent so many nights studying.

2. Then, if I go to Greece for holiday now, nobody understands me when I speak to any one, because it is biblical or ancient Greek. I did not know about this until last night.

What a joke, a real joke – especially about the (2)! At least, last night, the teacher assured us that she is so glad to see us, and there were only two dropouts of 13 to date! We have six more lectures and two final exams to go! Who's counting!

Sigh! Think I have finally realised if not accept that I am a masochist! We really do not need Greek on top of the current economic situation. My fault really! I have no idea it would be so intensive. Feeling guilty about not spending enough time with my girls, I have organised trips and trade visits around Tuesdays for the next two months; not realising that we have tests every week.

I can't even cancel the trips as we have already paid these e-electronic tickets!

You should see this kid at MacDonalds at the airport, watching me so intensely writing wriggles, whilst I was waiting for my flight! I will be doing the same in a couple of hours - I am off to KK! I have just counted that we have to learn 35 new Greek words, plus adjectives by next Tuesday!!!!!

Oh well, At least I now know how to write HIS Name in Greek! And Actually our sales to date is quite respectable!

So Thank you very much, O my Theos!
